These officers were bleeding until their execution. Lieutenant- General Osman Baloal and Colonel Mohamed Ahmed Kassim were imprisoned in  Prison when the other officers were arrested in Khartoum. They were brought by car and executed
with the other martyrs.

Of the 28 officers, 14 officers never showed up before the military court which sentenced them with execution. These were

of these martyrs are unknown. Hundreds of officers and non-commissioned officers were subsequently dismissed from
the Armed Forces without any charge.

The families of the executed officers continued to demonstrate in Khartoum and abroad in protest against the killings of the
officers which took place in the holy month of Ramadan.  The executed officers were not allowed to see their families
prior to the executions. The names of the killers who participated in the trial and executions included these officers:

- Brigadier Omer Hassan Ahmed al-Bashir, head of the NIF June 1989 coup who approved the executions the way the trail and executions were made.
- Major Ibrahim Shamsaldeen, member of the commanding
council of the NIF military coup. Members of the military courts that sentenced the martyrs, including
- Colonel Alkhanjer and Colonel Kunna. Members of the NIF special guards led by Major Ibrahim Shamsaldeen who were all involved in the fire squad somewhere in Karari.
